Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of the Swallow is an instrumental procedure used to evaluate swallowing function. It requires the use of a flexible laryngoscope that is passed transnasally and positioned to view the base of tongue, pharynx, and larynx before/during/after the swallow.
